President Buhari and his delegation are currently in the United States and they met with President Obama, VP Joe Biden in the White House Oval Office today. yesterday, they were visited by former US Secretary of State, Madeline Albright at the Blair House where the Nigerian president and his entourage are staying. Anyways, ahead of the meeting, Buhari wrote asking for patience as he takes his time to battle Boko Haram and corruption in the country. See an excerpt from his article and photos from the visit below...

Muhammadu Buhari, the APC presidential candidate, has just become the official winner of the just concluded 2015 presidential elections. My Covenant With Nigerians - Buhari

Posted in: , , ,

Dear Compatriots,

In the past few months that I have traveled round this country on campaigns, I have experienced the sheer beauty of our diversity. From Port Harcourt to Kano, from Abeokuta to Gusau, I experienced first-hand the daily sufferings and struggles of our people. I also experienced the overwhelming desire of our people for change.

When I arrived in Port Harcourt on the 5th of January to start my campaigns, I was met by our teeming supporters, who stayed till late in the evening to welcome us. Among them were many young men and women, who in the few minutes that I shared with them at the airport, made me to reflect on what kind of future awaits them in our country.
